Musicians should be able to read sheet music and know how to play their instruments. New members are welcome at any time; contact music director Jay Conard at membership@rcoindiana.org.

RCO Receives Grants

The RCO is very pleased to announce receipt of two generous grants for our 2025-26 fiscal year.

The Kiwanis Club of Richmond Foundation has awarded $1000 to the RCO, one of eight grants awarded to local organizations in their latest grant cycle. To be used for children’s or youth programming, the funds will help support the RCO’s second annual Kinderconcert, date to be determined. A representative from the RCO will make a presentation to the Kiwanis Club regarding this special project.

Designed especially for children of all ages, the Kinderconcert features music for young audiences and offers space for them and their families to mingle and play. The first Kinderconcert, an extra performance last season, was made possible through frugal management of existing funds. The new grant will provide for facility rental, music and necessary licensing, marketing, and equipment transportation.

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group Foundation has awarded $5000 to the RCO for unrestricted use during its 2025-26 fiscal year. This Special Opportunities Grant Agreement is one of five types of awards offered by the Foundation. The RCO was connected with the Foundation several years ago through the relative of an RCO member and has received previous such grants.
