Indiana Bicentennial Concert

Richmond Community Orchestra will be giving a free concert of patriotic music at the Wayne County Indiana Veterans Memorial Park to commemorate the Indiana Bicentennial Relay.

The Wayne County portion of the statewide relay of the Bicentennial torch will be run Sunday. The torch is expected to arrive at the Veterans park sometime between 12:30pm and 1pm.

Sunday will also be the last day that the Veterans Park will be hosting “The Wall that Heals”, a 1/2 size replica of the Vietnam Memorial & mobile education center.

Fall Rehearsal Schedule

Our first rehearsal is scheduled for Monday, September 12, 6:30-8:30pm (Monday after Labor Day).

We will rehearse Monday nights through Thanksgiving.

Rehearsals are held in Goddard Auditorium in Carpenter Hall, Earlham College.

Membership in the orchestra is free, and is open to musicians of all ages.

Players interested in joining the orchestra are welcome to sit in during rehearsal. For more information email the music director and membership committee of RCO at membership@rcoindiana.org.

RCO plays patriotic music to celebrate the Indiana Bicentennial Torch coming through Richmond.

Concert will include “Peter and the Wolf”, “What’s Opera Doc?”, and other family-friendly selections.
