  • Elstro Plaza Concert

    RCO-Jack ElstroFree Concert at Elstro Plaza

    Concert begins at 7:30. Food trucks at 5:30. Bring a blanket or chairs. Invite family and friends. Splash pad will be open before the concert. Dress comfortably.
    The program, under the baton of Musical Director Jay Conard, features the first performance of a new work by Conard titled “The Tempest”, inspired by the Shakespeare play of the same name. The program includes classic, pop, show tunes, and traditional favorites:

    • Festive March
    • The Tempest
    • Coronation March from THE PROPHET
    • That’s A-Plenty
    • IRISH TUNE
    • American Frontier
    • Stars and Stripes Forever
    This concert is presented in celebration of and in cooperation with the Richmond Shakespeare Festival. The 2019 Festival features full productions of Hamlet and The TempestJune 21July 6.

    All are welcome to attend the RCO Annual Business Meeting. During this meeting, we set strategies and make plans for both the Richmond Community Orchestra and the Strings Initiative Program.
