RCO Fall Rehearsals

Richmond Community Orchestra begins rehearsal on Monday (9/10/2018) for the 2018-19 season. As usual, we will be rehearsing at Goddard Auditorium in Carpenter Hall on the campus of Earlham College (801 National Road West, Richmond, IN 47374).

Here’s the schedule:

Rehearsals, Mondays, 6:30-8:30, Goddard Auditorium:
2018: September 10 – November 19
2019: January 28 – June 3

May 6 Concert – New Location

Richmond High School, 380 Hub Etchinson Parkway

Guest cellist-Lauren Gruber
Special Guest appearance by Strings Initiative Program youth players.

Debut performance – “The Phoinix”, written by Jay Conard to mark the 50th anniversary of the Richmond explosions of 1968.

The program will also feature Prelude to ‘Carmen,’ Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture,” “Pines of Rome (Finale)”, “On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring”, “The Wild Wild West”, and “Star Wars”.

Richmond Community Orchestra's mission is to encourage lifelong musicianship and appreciation of orchestral music in Richmond, Indiana, and the surrounding area through regular practice and performance

Membership in the orchestra is free, and is open to musicians of all ages. The orchestra usually performs at least five free concerts a year, and occasionally performs extra concerts for special events or local organizations.
